I used to have a set of Tuff rims. They blew apart when I hit a curb.

Your forks are not the only thing that is 2002. That is a 2002 frame.

If you want to educate yourself about your bike.

That's right. It guides the chain away from the tire. Commonly found on race bikes.

Wrong answer!!
It's not a roller, rollers move. It a chain guide. It keeps the chain in line with the pulley.

The black plastic piece that is within the purple circle behind the chain. Attached to the link plates. You made a comment in your first post, saying it is not a chain guide.
What do you call it then???

Tell me what you call the black plastic piece before the pulley? You seem so technically inclined Smile I am trying to find one for my BB7.

If your looking for ideas, have you updated the chain pulley? Those new PVC ones are much better than the old ones. Thought of putting a E-13 chain guide on her?
Love your bike, I tried for the longest time to find a gun metal 2004.

This is a 2004 BB7 that Rocky had a hand in.

See the frame gusset at the head tube, and the floating brake mount??
2002 frames did not come with a floating brake mount, 2003 frames did.

Balfa closed it doors in 2003, who do you think made the 2004 BB7's??
Ever heard of ProCycle?? They own CCM, and Rocky Mountain to name a few. They bought the rights to Balfa in late 2003. Then Rocky Mountain released a revised version of the BB7 in 2004. BTW I talked to the guy who works for Rocky who had a hand in the design of the 2004 BB7. So your F*cking wrong!

Note the front of the frame. Rocky mountain added metal behind the head tube at the bottom of the frame.

How is that rear ends link to the rest of the frame going to fair up to lateral forces?
Not to sure how long that back end will last before it cracks in those machined areas.
Other than that it looks sick, love the machining.

Monster's are heavy and dated. If that were my bike I would put on a 6" single crown fork. Or save your money and get another bike.
